# 云瞰 SkyView

> SkyView (云瞰) is a self-hosted, privacy-first AI NVR / VMS for home and small-business RTSP, ONVIF and GB/T 28181 IP cameras. It is a Chinese-friendly alternative to Frigate, BlueIris, Shinobi, Scrypted and ZoneMinder, with native Android / iOS / Web clients, an official Home Assistant integration (HACS) and on-device AI — including natural-language video search powered by a local VLM, and a built-in annotation plus cloud fine-tuning loop that makes detection more accurate on your own cameras over time. All processing stays on your own box: no cloud, no API key, data never leaves the device.

SkyView ships as a single Docker image (CPU / Intel OpenVINO / NVIDIA CUDA / NVIDIA TensorRT / Rockchip RK3588 NPU variants) and runs on plain Linux, Synology, Unraid, fnOS, UGOS, TrueNAS, Proxmox VE LXC, RK3588 ARM boards and as a Home Assistant OS add-on. Licensing is per household, never per camera. The UI and marketing site are available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese and French; the product documentation is currently authored in Chinese.

## Key capabilities

- Self-hosted NVR / VMS for RTSP and ONVIF cameras, plus GB/T 28181 (Chinese national standard) cameras and NVRs (go2rtc bridge for Tapo / Xiaomi / Wyze / Eufy / Imou)
- On-device AI detection: motion, person, vehicle, face, license plate, fall, package, baby-cry, gesture — plus weather recognition and per-class object counting
- Model gets more accurate with use: correct mislabelled events in the built-in annotation workspace, then fine-tune your own model with cloud training — included in the licence, no per-model fee
- Natural-language video search across recordings, bilingual (English / Chinese), via a local VLM — no API key, fully offline
- AI scene understanding with automatic natural-language event captions
- Native Android / iOS / Web clients; live streaming over WebRTC (WHEP) with automatic HLS fallback
- Official Home Assistant integration via HACS (cameras, event sensors, PTZ, media library — no MQTT required), plus MQTT discovery and Apple Home (HomeKit) support
- Deep vendor integration for Hikvision (ISAPI), Dahua (CGI), Reolink and TP-Link VIGI — including events raised by the camera's own on-board AI
- 24/7 continuous and motion-triggered recording, multi-channel synchronised NVR-style playback, cross-day continuous timeline, timelapse and range export
- Birdseye overview, custom video-wall layouts with drag-to-swap, entry/exit line crossing and per-class detection zones
- Person library with automatic stranger clustering; two-way audio (ONVIF backchannel talkback) and automation-driven TTS announcements
- Rules-based automation engine; in-browser online upgrade with automatic rollback on failure
- Compatible with Reolink, Hikvision, Dahua, Amcrest, Annke, Uniview, EZVIZ, Foscam, Lorex
- Privacy-first: no cloud dependency, no per-camera fees, data stays on your hardware
